Tri-City group among front runners at Top-50 Junior Golf Tourney stop

TRI-CITY AREA — Four Tri-City Area Golfers teed it up at a Top-50 Junior Golf Tournament hosted by Flushing Valley Country Club on Friday, June 20.

Lauren Bone, of Almont, pulled up third among Girls 16 and Older Division entrants. She had a 95 over 18 holes.

Sasha Burau, of Grand Blanc, took division honors with an 80.

Capac's Kenny Randall notched a three-way tie for fourth among Boys' 16 and Older Division entrants. He managed a 78 over 18 holes.

Kenny Burk, of Capac, also competed in the division. He tied for 17th with an 88 output.

Auburn's Adam Hansen was the division pacesetter with a 70.

In the Boys' 15 and Under Division, Capac's Colton Randall generated a three-way tie for ninth with an 88.

Christian Balek, of Bay City, took division honors with a 78.

The previous day saw the same Tri-City contingent test their skills at a Top-50 Junior Golf Tour qualifer.

That competition was at Flushing Valley Country Club as well.

It was there that Colton Randall won the Boys' 15 and Under Division, aided by an 81 over 18 holes.

Bone supplied the next best Tri-City showing, ranking fourth with a 97. She competed against Girls' 16 and Older Division foes.

Michelle Hall, of Flushing, took division honors with an 85 over 18 holes.

Kenny Randall obtained a three-way tie for fourth among Boys' 16 and Older Division entrants with a 79.

Burk tacked on a seventh in the same division, posting an 81 en route.

Matthew Brady, of Rochester, was the division pacesetter with a 77.
