TRI-CITY AREA — Justin Pitt threw a one-hitter, including seven strikeouts and no walks, as Imlay City registered an 11-1 triumph against visiting Blue Water Area Conference rival Capac in a game spanning six innings last Wednesday afternoon.
With the outcome, Imlay City ups its mark to 8-1 overall and 7-0 as far as BWAC clashes are concerned.
From an offensive standpoint, Ryan Pitt (two singles, two home runs, four runs scored and three RBI) proved Imlay City's headliner. He was given assistance in the hitting department by Devon Wiegers (two singles, three runs and one RBI), Blaine Goertler (two singles, one run and one RBI), Ryan Baker (two singles and one RBI), Steve Lesniak (a double, three RBI and a run scored), Justin Pitt (a single, a run and one RBI) and Mark Owen Jr. (one single).
Vernon Wilson had the lone Capac basehit, collecting a single.
