CAPAC — Capac claimed a 10-0 win at visiting Almont's expense in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity softball confrontation last Friday afternoon.
With the decision, Capac moves to 2-6 overall and 2-2 as far as BWAC clashes are concerned.

In Friday's confrontation, Capac jumped out to a 3-0 lead after one inning was history. The Chiefs then used a one-run second inning, a two-run third, a three-run fourth and a one-run fifth to close out a favorable outcome.
Ashley Mousseau was the winning Capac pitcher. She allowed just two hits, struck 12 and issued one walk along the way.
Darcie Ball (three singles, two runs, two stolen bases and one RBI), Charlotte Clark (a single, a triple and two RBI) and Jamie Green (two singles, one run and one stolen base) proved Capac's top offensive weapons. They were backed by Laura Pewinski (a single, two runs, two walks, one RBI and one stolen base), Michelle Kotermanski (one single and one RBI) and Abby Aguinaga (a triple).
Keeley Creger and Kelsea Offner paced Almont's offensive attack. They finished with a single each.
