CAPAC — An informational meeting regarding the April 16 shooting on William G. Drive for surrounding residents will be held Tuesday night, April 29, at 6:30 p.m. at Capac High School.
Presenters will include:
•SharAn Revitzer, police administrative assistant, who will give an update on Chief Raymond Hawks' condition;
•Sheriff Dan Lane who will review the incident;
•Schools' Superintendent Jerry Jennex will speak to 'why lock down the schools?';
•Prosecutor Mike Wendling will discuss the legal process set to unfold;
•Police officer Roger Bartram will address 'what happens if we need to call the Capac police?' and
•St.Clair County Community Mental Health Director Mike McCartan plans to discuss 'Why am I feeling this way?'
The event is being sponsored by the Capac Police Department, Capac Community Schools and Community Mental Health.

The schools were in lock down for several hours on April 16 when resident Donald Burke alleged shot and wounded Hawks and Deputy Tim O'Boyle. At his arraignment yesterday (April 24), Burke was charged with three counts of attempted murder since he also took aim at tow truck driver Mike Thorpe.
