TRI-CITY AREA — Dryden tallied six opening half goals and added two more during the second half of action to register an 8-0 road triumph against Capac in a non-league girls' soccer encounter contested under snowy and bonechilling skies last Thursday afternoon.

It was the season-opener for both combatants.

Maddy Couch (assisted by Brittany Lewis), Lewis (unassisted), Liz Sturza (set up by Couch), Lewis (assisted by Couch), Lewis (unassisted) and Genna Siarkowski (assisted by Sturza) furnished Dryden's opening half goals.

Lewis (unassisted) and Couch (set up by Lewis) generated Dryden's second half tallies.

Abby Warnars was the victorious Dryden goalkeeper. Warnars came through time and time again, collecting five saves.

In defeat, Sara Tomeo supplied the best Capac performance according to her coaches. Her ability to elude opposing defenders often during the contest gained her those accolades.

Jessica Saez handled the Capac goalkeeping chores. She was credited with a nine-save outing.
