GOODLAND TWP. — Three people were seriously injured Monday afternoon in a two-car, head-on crash on M-53, north of Armstrong Road.

Goodland Twp. Fire Chief Don Bissett said firefighters and other emergency personnel responded around 2:40 p.m. to a head-on crash involving a Mercury Grand Marquis and a Land Rover.

Firefighters at the scene had to use the Jaws of Life to free the victims from the vehicles.

While police reports are incomplete, Bissett said one of three people involved in the crash had to be airlifted to Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
