January 23, 2008 CAPAC — Capac High School is seeking players to participate in this summer's alumni football game versus Imlay City.
To be eligible to play in this game, you must have graduated from Capac High School no later than the spring of 2003.
The contest will take place Friday, July 18th as part of the Capac Days festivities. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
Following the contest, a fireworks display will take place at the game site.
An informal dinner/dance cash bar at Holly Meadows Golf Course the following evening is also in the planning stages. All jersey numbers and the ability to purchase tickets to the dinner/dance will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The entry cost to play in the Alumni Football Game is $100 per year, no matter how many games the alumni team winds up playing. This money will go towards buying equipment for the Capac football program.
Players will have a lined field to practice on from June 16th to July 17th. Trainers, coaches, ice and medical supplies for practice will be the responsibility of the team not Capac Athletics.
Each player will need to produce a physical taken within one year of July 19th, 2008 that clearly states that he is fit to play in an alumni football game before they will be issued equipment.
All players must sign a waiver, relinquishing Capac Community Schools, coaches, administrators, and staff of all liability, before they will be issued equipment. An ambulance and a trainer will be provided for by the alumni football organization during the alumni football game.
