IMLAY CITY — When the Imlay City Farmers Market opens for another season in May, a brand-new sign will wecome customers.
The cost for construction and installation of the new sign is being paid for by the Imlay City branch of Tri-County Bank.
Tri-County Bank's Almont branch provided a similar sign last year for the Almont Farmers Market.
The Imlay City Farmers Market is hosted by the Downtown Development Authority and features goods and items produced or created by local growers and artisans.
The downtown market is open on Thursdays during the months of May through October, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the corner of Main and Third streets.
DDA board members and Tri-County Bank officials gathered recently to unveil the new sign. They included: Brad Barrett (DDA Director), Wendi Blatt (DDA Board), Steve Teets (DDA Board Chairperson), Peggy Kalbfleisch (Tri-County Bank branch manager), and Mark Shadley (Tri-County Bank commercial lender).
