Capac pulls up in third in BWAC Competitive Cheer Competition

TRI-CITY AREA — The Capac, Imlay City and Almont cheer teams turned in respective finishes of third, sixth and seventh last Wednesday at the BWAC Competitive Cheer Meet hosted by Richmond High School.

When the final scores were tallied, Richmond mounted a pacesetting 713.51-point output. Cros-Lex occupied second, aided by a 631.712-point total, and Capac scored 629.484 for third. They were followed by Armada (626.504), Yale (625.352 points), Imlay City (602.53), Almont (562.44) and Algonac (545.378).

Lauren Pelc, Krystal Schram, Samantha Kaufman, Christina Burns, Anna Cyrus, Taylor Smith, Makayla Porter, Taylor Podschwit, Courtney Card, Cassie Szymanski, Karlee Ringle, Jenna Welch, Jenna Swatsell, BrieAnne Smith and Rachel Stevens formed the roster of Capac's third-place team.

Natasha Nivison, Lauren Leonowicz, Emily Kramek, Rachel Murawski, Brenna Lyscas, Cassondra Durfee, Sadie Wise, Denise Soulliere, Jordan Kowaleski, Jessica Soroka, Dani Rowe, Andrea Gould, Miranda VanDoorne, Bailey Clark, Katie Rini, Kassie Brozowski, Rebecca Bell, Sheryl Penzien and Shelby Zegler comprised Imlay City's squad.
