January 16, 2008 DRYDEN — Dryden held visiting Port Hope scorless during every quarter but the second en route to a convincing 63-8 win in a North Central Thumb League varsity boys' basketball confrontation last Friday night.
With the outcome, Dryden lifts its mark to 3-4 and 3-3.
In Friday's confrontation, Dryden held leads of 23-0 after one quarter was history; 42-8 at halftime and 50-8 after three quarters were history. The Cardinals followed it up with a 13-0 final quarter advantage, putting the finishing touches on the lopsided victory.
Chad Butler paced Dryden with 16 points. The Cardinals also had Evan Hazen (12 points, including a pair of trifectas), Jeff Chisholm (10), Joe Battisti and Greg Anderson (six each), Nate Forrest and Doug Ladner (four apiece), Kyd Song (three) and Tom Ferrett (two) reach the scoring column.
