IMLAY CITY — Imlay City downed visiting Armada, 41-33, in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity girls' basketball meeting last Thursday night.

With the decision, Imlay City improves to 4-3 and 1-1. Armada slips to 6-2 and 1-1.

In Thursday's meeting, Imlay City grabbed a 9-6 edge after one quarter was complete.

Quarter number two would prove low scoring as well.

It was there Armada collected 10 points and Imlay City managed five.

That made it 16-14, Armada, at the halftime break.

The third quarter would see Imlay City net 10 points, while allowing Armada just two.

That left Imlay City holding a 24-18 cushion at the 24-minute mark.

Imlay City then outscored Armada 17-15 over the last eight minutes of action, good enough to celebrate a 41-33 victory when the final buzzer sounded.
