December 26, 2007 CAPAC — Dan Jackson netted 16 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead visiting Capac to a 62-49 win against Yale in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity boys' basketball matchup on Tuesday, December 18.
With the decision, Capac improves to 3-0 overall and 1-0 versus BWAC adversaries. Yale slips to 0-4 and 0-1.
In Tuesday's matchup, Capac built a 13-11 edge after one quarter had ended and increased that margin to 29-22 at the halftime break.
When the action resumed, Capac picked up where it left off.
Aided by a 17-12 third quarter advantage, Capac raised its lead to 46-34 at the 24-minute mark.
Capac then outscored Yale by a 16-15 count from that point on, assuring themselves of a 62-49 win when the final buzzer sounded.
Jon Carroll posted the next highest Capac scoring output, depositing 11 points through the twines. Carroll drained one trifecta along the way. The Chiefs also had A.J. Rank (nine, featuring a trey), Joe Frazier (eight, with a pair of triples), Joe Harvey (eight), Kevin Bollaert (seven) and Jon Botwin (three) connect.
Rank and Carroll added eight and six rebounds, respectively, to Capac's cause.
