When the action resumed, Cass City began to mount a comeback bid.
Aided by a 16-9 third quarter advantage, Cass City made it a 40-40 ballgame at the 24-minute mark.
Almont then outscored Cass City 19-10 from that point on, closing out a 59-50 win.
For Almont, Neal Zott led the way with 23 points. Zott drained a triple along the way. The Raiders also had Kevin Clarkston (15 points, including three trifectas), Josh Walker (nine), Zack Lowell (eight) along with Andy Schoen and Dillon Melly (two each) connect.
Shane Bloomfield paced Cass City with 16 points. Chris Binder (11 points, featuring three treys) and Chris Summerset (10) also contributed double digit outputs to the Red Hawks' cause.
