November 28, 2007 ALMONT — Breeanna Streber, a 2007 graduate of Almont High School, watched her debut season with the Saginaw Valley State University women's tennis team draw to a close recently.
She cracked the starting lineup for SVSU on two occasions.
Streber's initial match came September 12th when Saginaw Valley State University met Northwood University at Midland.
There Streber drew a tough assignment, falling by a 1-6, 0-6 sixth singles count to Nicole Kromer.
That day Northwood University netted a 9-0 win at SVSU's expense.
Streber also took to the courts on October 13th when Saginaw Valley State University hosted Grand Valley State University.
Again the opponent she faced at the sixth singles position would prove a formidable foe.
When the final scores were added up, Streber dropped a 0-6, 0-6 verdict to Jackie Shipman.
Grand Valley State University would go on to best SVSU, 8-1, that day.
Saginaw Valley State University finished the fall season as owners of a 3-10 overall mark. That included a 2-7 GLIAC standing.
