ALMONT — The Maranatha Baptist Bible College (Watertown, Wiscon-sin) women's soccer team, which counts Almont High School graduate Shasta Mikolowski among its ranks, registered a fifth-place finish at the National Christian College Athletic Association Division II Tournament recently.
That event was contested November 9, 10 and 12 at Austin Tindall Soccer Complex in Kissimmee, Florida.
Mikolowski, a senior, saw action for Maranatha Baptist College at a defensive position.
Maranatha opened their three-match tournament stint with a 3-0 loss to Manhattan (Manhattan, Kansas) on Friday, November 9.
The following day the team bounced back with a 5-0 win against Toccoa Falls (Toccoa Falls, Georgia).
Two days later, Maranatha Baptist Bible College concluded their tournament stint with a 1-0 setback to Southeastern (Lakeland, Florida).
Those outcomes left Maranatha Baptist Bible College with a fifth-place finish to show for their efforts.
Prior to their trip south, Maranatha watched a 5-12 regular season run wind down. That included a 3-9 mark as far as Northern Athletic Conference encounters were concerned.
