TRI-CITY AREA — Almont obtained a 6-2 win against host Imlay City in a Blue Water Area Conference boys' tennis matchup last Thursday afternoon.
In individual action, Andy Schoen posted a 6-0, 6-0 top flight victory over Drew Schultz; Dan Miller notched a 6-0, 6-2 triumph against Tyler Volmering at second singles; Ty Sutter garnered a 6-1, 6-0 third flight win over Steve Sortor; and Matt Bulger netted a 6-2, 6-0 victory against Mark Owen at fourth singles.
As far as doubles play was concerned, Logan McDermott and Kyle Henry collected a 7-5, 6-2 top flight triumph over Jay Moore and Mike Boyle; Alex Schubert and Nate Zgnilec dropped a 4-6, 4-6 verdict to Andrew Harbin and Blaine Goertler at second doubles; Brad Lowell and Brett McDonald supplied a 6-2, 6-3 third flight win against Brenan Hopkins and Jeff Randall; and Jamil Saba and Mike Kendziora fell by a 6-7 (3-7) 4-6 count to Joe Rettell and Cody Campbell at fourth doubles.
