September 26, 2007 TRI-CITY AREA — The Capac girls' golf team (231) outshot Armada (246), Imlay City (270) and host Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest (281) in a meeting involving conference rivals last Wednesday at Westwynd Golf Course.
For Capac, Katie McVeigh posted the low nine-hole round. It took her 52 strokes to complete the challenging layout.
Hilary Lewis logged the next lowest Capac tally, carding a 56. The Chiefs also counted Megan Rank's 59 and Beth Schaefer's 64.
Beth Hart led Imlay City with a 61. Janaye Powers and Paige Ragatz followed with 63s, while Tiffany Adams tacked on an 83.
The day prior to that Capac was not as fortunate when the final scores were added up.
Facing Lutheran North at Cracklewood Golf Course, Capac dropped a 194-242 verdict.
Rank paced Capac with a 58 over nine holes. Andrea Hedblad (60) along with Jessica Patton and Schaefer (a a 62 apiece) rounded out the Chiefs' scoring group.
