September 26, 2007 ALMONT — Almont beat visiting Flint Powers, 6-2, in a non-conference boys' tennis matchup last Wednesday afternoon.
In individual action, Andy Schoen dropped a 0-6, 0-6 top flight verdict to David Farah; Dan Miller fell by a 0-6, 1-6 count to Brad Boike at second singles; Ty Sutter earned a 6-2, 6-1 third flight win against John Fisher; and Matt Bulger secured a 6-1, 1-6, 6-4 victory over Nick Adams at fourth singles.
As far as doubles play was concerned, Logan McDermott and Kyle Henry registered a 6-0, 7-5 top flight triumph against Garren Moore and Alex Mikhail; Nate Zgnilec and Alex Schubert netted a 6-2, 7-6 (8-6) win over Nick Cunning-ham and Adam Rahman at second doubles; Brett McDonald and Brad Lowell notched a 6-2, 6-3 third flight victory against Ritish Chhabra and Austin Speer; plus Jamil Saba and Mike Kendziora obtained a 6-3, 6-7 (3-7), 10-8 triumph over Mike Robertson and Evan Kunkel.
