TRI-CITY AREA — Imlay City used a 4-1 opening half edge and a 5-0 second half advantage to turn back visiting Capac, 9-1, in a Blue Water Area Conference boys' soccer confrontation last Wednesday afternoon.
With the outcome, Imlay City improves to 8-4 overall. That includes a 5-2 Blue Water Area Conference showing thus far.
Chase Dockham (assisted by Sylvester Galeana), Tyler Keith (set up by Galeana), Galeana (assisted by Keith), Dockham (set up by Eric Salcedo), Luis Barragan (assisted by Martin Alvarez), Barragan (set up by Galeana), Dockham (assisted by Barragan), Tommy McCabe (unassisted) and Adrian Hernandez (unassisted) produced Imlay City's tallies that day. Those tallies came with 37:32 showing on the first half clock; 32:16 before halftime; with 30:29 showing on the first half clock; 23:51 before halftime; with 14:51 showing on the first half clock; with 29:54 remaining; with 14:08 showing on thge second half clock; 11:13 before the second half was slated to end; and with 4:01 remaining.
Jonathan Torres was the winning Imlay City goalkeeper. Torres made three stops.
Travis Tullio (set up by Josh Nemecek) netted the lone Capac goal. That came with 3:51 showing on the first half clock.
Alberto Rico handled the goalkeeping assignment for Capac that afternoon. Rico wound up with 17 saves.
