ALMONT — Almont made visiting Lapeer West absorb an 8-0 loss in a non-conference boys' tennis encounter on Tuesday, August 28.
With the result, Almont improves to 1-0 overall.
In individual action, Andy Schoen claimed a 6-1, 6-0 top flight win against Pat Marion; Dan Miller obtained a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Jarrett Peplinski at second singles; Ty Sutter generated a 6-0, 6-0 third flight triumph against Zack Hackett; and Matt Bulger prevailed by default at fourth singles.
As far as doubles clashes were concerned, Logan McDerMott and Kyle Henry notched a 6-0, 6-0 top flight win over Gabe Walters and Brad Bellings; Nate Zgnilec and Alex Schubert furnished a 6-0, 6-0 victory against Marcus Papin and Eric Birkle at second doubles; Brett MacDonald and Brad Lowell posted a third flight default triumph; plus Jamil Saba and Don Tobias netted a win via the default route at fourth doubles.
