Hoover, Burkland win at Blueberry Stomp 5K Run

IMLAY CITY — Capac's Jake Hoover supplied a 17:33 clocking to fend off the challenges of all male entrants and Almont's Marie Burkland's 20:05 time set the pace among female contestants last Saturday morning at the Blueberry Stomp 5K Run/Walk.

Here is a rundown of how the competitors fared in their respective age groups that day:

Men

14 and Under- 1) Noah Bennett, 20:45; and 2) Logan Walker, Imlay City, 27:38.
