IMLAY CITY — Imlay City fashioned a 4-1 mark en route to a first-place finish among 8 and Under Division entrants at the Imlay City All-Star Baseball Tournament this past weekend.

The team opened their title-producing run on Friday with a 10-4 triumph against Attica.

Imlay City then improved to 2-0, thanks to a 14-0 victory Saturday over Dryden.

The following day Imlay City fell for the first time, dropping a 14-3 verdict to Brown City.

Those results netted Imlay City a spot in the semifinals where Capac provided their opposition.

When the final out was registered, Imlay City had moved on via a 14-1 outcome.

Imlay City then squared off versus Brown City for the championship.

This time around it was Imlay City who had cause to celebrate when all was said and done, earning an 11-3 win against Brown City.

Jake Klebba, Theoren Collison, Kyle McMurray, Justin Van Lith, Kory McMurra, Collin Stryker, David Hart, Noah Brown, T.J. Reintjes, Griffin Schirmer, Jared Hayward and Andrew Nadrowski made Imlay City's top finish possible. Their team was coached by Chris Nadrowski, Kevin Nadrowski and Bill McMurray.
