Pardon no-hits Armada

IMLAY CITY — Mikayla Pardon tossed a complete game no-hitter, including 12 strikeouts and just one walk, to lead Imlay City to a 3-0 road win against Armada in a Blue Water Area Conference varsity softball battle on Tuesday, May 15.

With the outcome, Imlay City remains tied with Richmond atop the BWAC standings with 9-1 marks. Armada slips to 9-2 as far as league clashes are concerned.

In Tuesday's matchup, Imlay City used a two-run sixth inning and a one-run seventh to prevail.

Miranda Steffler went two for three, featuring a double and a triple, and collected one RBI to lead Imlay City that day. She was backed by Marcia Van Dyk (one for three and one RBI), Jessica Tatman, Morgan Iloncaie and Pardon (one for three each) along with Brittany Super (one for four).

With the outcome, Imlay City improves to 15-10 overall. Armada slips to 18-5 this season.
