Spartans rally for tie with Cardinals in soccer clash

TRI-CITY AREA — Imlay City overcame a 3-1 halftime deficit to tie host Dryden at three goals each in a non-conference girls' soccer confrontation last Friday afternoon.

Chelsea Parrott (assisted by Caitlyn Schaller) netted the lone Imlay City opening half goal.

Beth Caldwell added both of Imlay City's second half goals. The first of her tallies was set up by Ashley Guerrero and the second was of the unassisted variety.

Catie Withun handled the goalkeeping chores for Imlay City that day. Withun finished with five saves.

Felicia Krol (assisted by Brittany Lewis), Lewis (set up by Amanda Henzel) and Jessie Stewart (unassisted) furnished Dryden's goals that day.

Abby Warnars handled the goalkeeping responsibilities for Dryden. Warnars was credited with 18 saves.
