Voters support millage, bond proposals in August primary

TRI-CITY AREA — Voters found favor in nearly every ballot proposal that appeared on the August 7 primary election ballot. In the Tri-City area, all but a St. Clair County Community College facilities millage was approved.

Here are the unofficial numbers being reported by the Lapeer and St. Clair County clerks' offices:

Imlay City's fire hall bond proposal: 333 yes to 255 no

Ruth Hughes Library millage: 1,348 yes to 978 no

Dryden Police Department millage: 999 yes to 500 no

Dryden Schools sinking fund: 815 yes to 606 no

Attica Fire millage: 899 yes to 270 no

Attica public safety millage: 786 yes to 371 no

Lapeer County senior citizens millage: 15,619 yes to 4,298 no

St. Clair County senior citizens millage: 25,327 yes to 7,205 no

Berlin Township fire millage: 493 yes to 121 no

St. Clair County Community College renewal: 16,207 yes to 14,089 no

St. Clair County facilities millage: 17,004 no to 12,357 yes
