CAPAC — Now through Wednesday, Nov. 8, Keihin Michigan Manufacturing will be collecting candy and other donations as part of a drive to benefit Operation Gratitude. The sweet treats and other items will be used in care packages sent to U.S. service members deployed overseas and given to first responders serving at home.
Operation Gratitude's Halloween GIVE-Back Program gives children a chance to donate their excess Halloween candy and show their gratitude to service members in honor of Veterans Days.
Candy and other donations are being accepted at 14898 Koehn Rd, Capac, MI 48014 until November 8 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. Other care package items being accepted include travel size hand sanitizer, mouthwash, sunscreen, shampoo, body wash, lotion and single serve drink mix packets. In addition, Keihin will provide paper and writing utensils for anyone who would like to write a letter.
