IMLAY CITY — There are only two days left to enjoy the Eastern Michigan State Fair. The gates close on the five day event on Saturday night but there's still lots to see and do between now and then.
Of course, visitors will flock to the midway where they can try their hand at all kinds of games and strap themselves in for an array of rides. Daily circus performances, courtesy of Circus Pages, are also on tap and more exotic animals can be found in the Alligator Encounter. The 4-H livestock auction took place on Thursday but guests are welcome to stroll through the animal barns and see even more animals in the FFA petting zoo and birthing tent where some new arrivals, including piglets and calves, can be seen. Horse shows are also ongoing.
In the grandstands, engines will roar to life tonight (Friday) at 7 p.m. with the Autocross Bump N' Run. On Saturday night, check out the wild antics of the demolition derby, also at 7 p.m.
