July 10, 2019TRI-CITY AREA — The Attack 14U softball team claimed a first at the USA Softball 'B' Tournament June 27-30 in Clarkston.
The squad went 6-0 en route to the top placing, the third straight year they have accomplished the feat.
Attack 14U softball took first at the USA Softball 'B' Tournament recently. They are front (L to R) Taylor Dinda, Erin Seros, Lindsey McGann, Avery Woodard and Elly Schapman; and back Chloe Bruman, Savanna Clark, Katie Witkowski, Kendall Roszczewski, Myah McLean, Devin Johnston, Olivia Malcolm and Lindsey Wilson.
Devin Johnston (Almont), Savanna Clark (St. Clair), Elly Schapman (Almont), Avery Woodard (Marysville), Olivia Malcolm (Almont) and Kendall Roszczewski (Almont) led the team at the plate. They logged respective averages of .688, .619, .579, .500 and .462 en route.
Myah McLean (North Branch) and Malcolm (Almont) handled the pitching chores for the squad.
Chloe Bruman (North Branch), Lindsey Wilson (Almont), Taylor Dinda (Lake Orion), Lindsey McGann (Sterling Heights), Katie Witkowski (Utica) and Erin Seros (St. Clair) joined them on the first place team. They were coached by Lane and Ray Johnston.
