April 17, 2019TRI-CITY AREA — The Imlay City and Dryden girls' track teams ranked first and 10th, respectively, among small school division entries last Friday at the Shake Off the Rust Invitational in Davison.
Imlay City's winning total was 120.5 points. They were followed by Corunna (109.5 points), Goodrich (88), North Branch (65), Unionville Sebewaing (49), Richmond (43.5), Morrice (43), Caro (42.5), Farwell (36.5), Dryden (32) and Saginaw Valley Lutheran (24.5).
Robin LeFevere, 400 dash, 1:04.1; and Jessica Denver, 800-meter run, 2:34.05; led Imlay City with individual event firsts.
The Imlay City 800 (Jillian LeFevere, McKinzie Winget, Robin LeFevere and Denver) and 3200 (Ana Lengemann, Mary Lengemann, Kayla Louwsma and Denver) relays took first as well. They were timed in 1:58.99 and 10:45.72, respectively.
Robin LeFevere, long jump (16 feet 9 inches) and 200-meter dash (27.86 seconds) gave Imlay City individual event seconds.
The Imlay City 400 (Jillian LeFevere, Carlee Forsyth, Dalecke and Winget) and 1600 (Aubrie Behrick, Kayla Louwsma, Winget, and Denver) relays garnered seconds as well. They managed respective clockings of 55.37 and 4:40.88 en route.
Mary Lengemann, high jump (5 feet) and pole vault (7 feet) plus Ana Lengemann, 3200-meter run, 13:14.22; furnished Imlay City's thirds.
Mary Lengemann, 1600 run, 5:52.28; supplied the lone Imlay City fourth.
Winget, 200-meter dash, 29.76 seconds; Carlee Forsyth, 300 hurdles, 57.29 seconds; Behrick, 400 -meter dash, 1:11.32; and Louwsma, 800 run, 2:52.19; contributed Imlay City's fifths.
Sophia Rosillo, discus, 82 feet 6 inches; and Izzy Aune, 3200-meter run, 14:14.89; added sevenths to Imlay City's cause.
A 400 relay of Erin Paton, Erin Boetcher, Kelli Schenkel and Natalie Poirier paced Dryden with a fourth. They were timed in 57.25 seconds.
Natalie Poirier, high jump, 4 feet 9 inches; and Teagan Norman, 3200 run, 13:49.91 gave Dryden individual event fifths.
The Dryden 800-meter relay of Paton, Boetcher, Schenkel and Poirier wound up fifth as well. It took them 2:02.16 to accomplish the feat.
Schenkel, high jump, 4 feet 6 inches; and Ella Kage, 800 run, 2:53.24; contributed Dryden's sixths.
Poirier, long jump, 14 feet 10 3/4 inches; and Caitlyn Hill, 200-meter dash, 31.11 seconds; managed Dryden's individual event eighths.
Dryden's 1600 relay of Paige Abromaitis, Kylie DeVlaminck, Hill and Kage generated an eighth as well. They registered a 5:17.63 clocking en route.
