Almont grad travels with Clevland State in starting lineup

ALMONT — Almont's Grace Zimmerman helped the Cleveland State University women's golf team register a 12th-

place finish at the Colonel Classic this

past week.

The University Club at Arlington, in Richmond, Kentucky, is where play was contested last Friday and Saturday.

Zimmerman, a sophomore, posted 18-hole rounds of 82 and 86 on Friday.

She then carded a

final round output of 81, leaving her with a 54-hole total of 249.

That placed her fifth on the Cleveland State University squad.

Eastern Kentucky's 875 total topped the

standings. They were

followed by Northern Illinois (888), Oakland (904), Dayton (916), IUPUI (917), Ball State (922), Ohio and Akron (923 each), Austin Peay State (931), University

of Cumberlands (931), Belmont University

(942), Cleveland State University (944) and Tennessee Tech (952).

Cleveland State University returns to action this Saturday and Sunday at the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational. Stone Ridge Golf Club,

in Bowling Green, Ohio, serves as the tournament venue.
