Dryden girls make Div. 4 state finals

DRYDEN — The Dryden girls' bowling team claimed a second-place finish last Friday at a Division 4 regional.

B's Bowling Center, in Flint, is where the action unfolded.

Burton Bendle (3,270), Dryden (2,782) and Burton Atherton (2,701) held down the top-three spots at day's end.

They advance to this Friday's Division 4 state finals at M-66 Bowl in Battle Creek.

Four other schools competed at the regional level. Their ranks consisted of New Haven (2,637), Memphis (2,449), Burton Bentley (2,352), Austin Catholic (2,302) and Genesee (2,089).

Kevin Kissane has been covering high school sports for the Tri-City Times since 1985. When not standing on a field or court with his camera and notepad, he enjoys golf, travel and family. Kevin is a 1980 graduate of Capac High School, and is also a grad of St. Clair Community College and earned a degree in journalism from Central Michigan University.
