In Friday's confrontation, Imlay City bolted out to a 21-2 advantage after one quarter was over with.
The middle two quarters saw Imlay City establish even more breathing room. Aided by a 23-12 edge there, the Spartans went up 44-14 with 24 minutes gone.
Imlay City then outscored Algonac 14-7 the rest of the way, closing out a 58-21 win.
Mary Lengemann (17 points, including three trifectas), Ana Lengemann (10, featuring two treys) and Kayla Louwsma (10) proved Imlay City's toughest players to stop. Abigail Thibodeau and Kendall Sommer (six points each), Kayla Rossen (four), Emma Waatti (three) and Ashlyn Vamvas (two) also reached the scoring column.
