ALMONT — Almont handed host Richmond an 8-0 setback in a Blue Water Area Conference boys' tennis clash last Thursday.
In individual action, Thomas Manko obtained a 6-2, 6-0 top flight win against Marcel Fenwick; Griffin DePauw posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Josh Rumsey at second singles; Adam Campbell supplied a 6-4, 6-4 third flight triumph against Devin Hart; plus Sam Bussone prevailed via default at fourth singles.
As far as doubles play was concerned, Ethan Marcola and Darren Herman notched a 6-0, 6-2 top flight win over Drew Reindel and Zach Nichter; Trey Bellanger and Paul Biolchini garnered a 6-4, 6-2 victory against Ricky Holdwick and Andrew Zauner; Jack Jellison and Gary Gerlach claimed a 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 third flight triumph over Johnathon Tackaberry and Devin Nettles; plus Luke Schlanderer and Tony Tabacchi prevailed by default at fourth doubles.
