TRI-CITY AREA — Almont bested host Dryden, 18-1 and 17-2, in a non-league varsity softball twinbill Monday afternoon.
Jaclyn Hellebuyck (two singles and a two-run homer), Gillian Nichols (a single and a double), Tyler Kautz and Rachael Schapman (two singles each) led Almont's offensive attack during game one. They were backed by Hannah Landerschier, Hannah Feys and Sydney Marrone (a single apiece).
Mackenzie Cleland was the winning Almont pitcher.

Paige Abromaitis (two) along with Amanda Lemke, Alex Perdue, Hunter Hofmann and Riley Knox (one each) furnished Dryden's hits.
Game two saw Almont accumulate 13 hits. Nichols (three singles), Paige Walton, Laken Campbell, Rachel Phillips and Schapman (two singles apiece) plus Kautz and Marrone (a single each) made that output possible.
Campbell was Almont's pitcher of record.
