IMLAY CITY — Imlay City returned from Bad Axe with a 68-65 loss in a non-league varsity boys' basketball game Monday night.
With the outcome, Imlay City now stands at 0-1 this season.
In Monday's game, Imlay City and Bad Axe concluded quarter number one with 14 points apiece.
The middle two quarters would see Bad Axe manage 41 total points and Imlay City net 34. That staked them to a 55-48 cushion with 24 minutes gone.
Imlay City then outscored Bad Axe 17-13 the rest of the way, only to drop a 68-65 verdict when the final points were added up.
Mitch Allen (17), Riley Bertram (15) and Hunter Medrano (11) led Imlay City with double digit point totals. They were backed by Parker Lewis (nine points), Trevor Petri (six), Logan Wilson (five) and Lonnie Wolford (two).
