ALMONT — The Almont boys' cross country team wound up 28th last Saturday at the Division 3 state finals.

Michigan International Speedway, in Brooklyn, is where the action unfolded.

"The boys gave it their all today," Almont Coach Wes Diener said. "Jackson Brown ran one second off his personal-best to finish 39th," he noted.

"Jack DeMara, Lucas Leid and Austin Amlotte all ran about the same time they did last week at regionals on a much harder course. Colby Querciagrossa, Lucas Webster and John Johnson all gave great efforts to end their seasons."
