DRYDEN — The Dryden varsity boys' basketball team now owns a 10-1 overall mark following a 57-49 loss to visiting Genesee Christian in a non-league varsity boys' basketball contest last Friday night.
In Friday's contest, Genesee Christian took a 13-12 edge after one quarter was done.
The middle two quarters saw Genesee manage 29 total points and Dryden net 26. That made it 42-38, Genesee, with 24 minutes gone.
Genesee Christian then outscored Dryden 15-11 over the last eight minutes of action, good for a 57-49 victory when the final buzzer sounded.
Max Kage (20 points, featuring four treys) and John DelCampo (14) led Dryden that evening. The Cardinals also had Jared Czape (five points), Trey Raab (a triple), Evan Pocius (three) plus Justin Knox and Sean Riley (two each) reach the scoring column.
