July 18, 2007 TRI-CITY AREA — Guido Saltarelli, of Dryden, ranked fourth among the Men's 18-23 age group entrants at the Volkslaufe 5K Run in Frankenmuth on Wednesday, July 4.
It took Saltarelli 17:35 to cover the territory.
Shane Knoll, of Warren, claimed division honors. He stopped the watch at 15:47.
In the Men's 55-59 age group, Emmett's James Brennan wound up ninth. Brennan required 26:38 to go the distance.
Gary Scott, of Midland, was the division pacesetter. He took 19:41 to accomplish the feat.
In the Women's 14-17 age group, Dryden's Selina Paupert raced to a 16th. She required 24:10 to make the trek.
Ashley Botham, of Grand Rapids, claimed division honors. She stopped the watch at 20:11.
In the Male 14-17 age group, Almont's Don Tobias finished 30th on the strength of a 21:40 clocking.
Jesse Anderson, of Fenton was the race pacesetter. He registered a 16:18 time along the way.
In the 10K run, Imlay City's Jim Toth pulled up 14th among Men's 40-44 age group entrants. He posted a 49:49 clocking en route.
Brett Sanborn, of Rochester Hills, claimed division honors. He took 37:56 to accomplish the feat.
