In Imlay City, the tornado siren will be tested at 1 p.m. on June 2. The test will be cancelled in the case of inclement weather.

Mercy Casa Maria is hosting a full free breakfast buffet for adults 55 and older on June 1 from 8-10 a.m. A representative from the Lapeer County Health Department will speak about summer health tips for seniors. Call 724-6300 for details.

The Imlay Schools Alumni Association will hold a planning meeting at Tietz restaurant on June 7. Dinner is at 6 p.m., meeting follows at 7 p.m. Topic of discussion will be the upcoming alumni football game against North Branch to be held during the Blueberry Festival. All IC alummi welcome. A benefit for Imlay City Police Officer John Palacios will be held on June 1 at the Imlay City Eagles Hall. Dinner will be served from 4-6 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Music runs from 9 p.m.-midnight. In Almont, the Almont Middle School Parent Teacher Student Association is collecting box tops for the school library. Please drop off box tops at the middle school's front office at 4624 Kidder Rd. until June 13.

Orchard Primary School is hosting Kindergarten Carnival Day from 9-11:45 a.m. and 1-3:35 p.m. on June 7. The theme is 'Under the Sea Beach Blast' and includes many activities, crafts and hot dogs, chips, drinks and popcorn.

In the Tri-City area, the Lapeer County Master Gardener Association is sponsoring the 4th annual Tea Thyme in the Garden fundraiser at the Lapeer County Display Gardens on July 8.
